Events
There are several different kinds of competitive events in Wands, ranging from multi-month seasons to community-run tournaments. PATCH XXXX added in-game events that take place over a much shorter time span (hours to days) and players are ranked and rewarded for their performance in these events with perks like Relic Dust or extra XP.
Seasons
Becoming Season Champion is the highest achievement in Wands. All players start with the same score at the beginning of each season. Seasons typically last 2-5 months. All players above level 9 are automatically added to the leaderboard, and the winner is whoever finishes with the most points at the end of the season. You earn points for winning a competitive duel and lose points for losing one (unless your rating is much higher than your opponents, in which case the game becomes an exhibition match). Stronger opponents are worth more points. The current rankings are always visible on the Leaderboard section of the Blackboard in the Workshop.
